A new community partnership has been established for the Cork Harbour area. The South and East Development Partnership (SECAD) aims to promote tourism, recreation, business and conservation activities from Douglas to Carrigaline, Passage West, Monkstown, Crosshaven and Ringaskiddy.

SECAD aims to target the Rural Development Programme under the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs for funding.
