Plans will be unveiled in the new year of the proposed new clubhouse for the Royal Cork Yacht Club which currently has 1200 members and is expanding constantly. The club is also developing more Marina space all of which should help this famous yachting institution gear up for it's 300th birthday in 2020.

RCYC was honoured recently by the Cork Business Association in recognition of the contribution made to the local economy by the biennial Cork Week regatta. Cork Week has become one of the most important regattas in the European sailing calendar and is responsible for contributing somewhere in the region of €20 million to the local economy.
