Round the World Clipper Race

The RCYC plays host to ten 68 ft yachts of the Clipper 07/08 Round The World Yacht Race. The yachts arrived in Cork within 20 hours of each other having departed from the coast of Nova Scotia 13 days ago. The race across the North Atlantic is culminating in celebrations in Crosshaven including the official welcome party and prize giving in RCYC on Tuesday 1 st July. Visitors will enjoy the spectacle of the yachts combined with music and other onshore festivities.

The next leg of the Clipper race will see the yachts heading to Liverpool on Thursday 3rd July as part of that city’s European Capital of Culture 2008 celebrations
