An Bord Pleanála are due to decide on planning applications for Harbour Cat ferry terminals in the harbour area. Objections have been made to terminals in the Passage/ Monkstown area due to local fears of increased traffic and the effects the ferry might have on the local rowing clubs.
Harbour CAT ferries propose to run three vessels, each costing an estimated €3 and carrying 250 passenger, with routes from the City to Cobh and Crosshaven.
