Cobh Town Council have launched a master plan for the regeneration of Cobh which includes a revised plan for a marina development at either Whitepoint, Connolly Street or Rushbrook docks.These locations represent new thinking on a marina development for this harbour town, plans for which have been dogged by planning setbacks over the last few years.
The master plan will also consider the town as a hub for a harbour ferry service, the utilisation of Whitepoint strand for an amenity centre and an open-air cultural facility in Cove Fort.
The final draft of the plan should be approved by Cobh Town Council by the end of the year.
