Cork City and County is to be showcased as a tourist destination and business location in La Rochelle between the 10 th and 15 th of September. Cork has been invited as a guest designation at the Grand Pavois in La Rochelle, a boat show that attracts up to 100,000 people during the week long festival.

Cork County Council is responsible for organising the exhibition and will have the largest stand at the show. It will promote water based and sailing activities, food and drink from the Cork area and will show a DVD of scenic Cork areas in the County and City.

The Cork delegation will also feature sailor Damian Foxall as Grand Marshall and the Asgard is due to join the festivities on Friday, September 12 th.
